MBTA Red Line trains on the Ashmont line were delayed Thursday morning due to a “mechanical problem” at JFK/UMass station, officials said.
At 7:52 a.m. MBTA officials tweeted that northbound trains were facing delays of up to 30 minutes.
By 8:02 a.m. the delays had been reduced to 15 minutes.
